Finding Books in the Library

In the PC Library, books are arranged by Library of Congress Call Numbers.

Look for materials under the following:

  • HM621-656: Popular Culture
  • HN: Social History and Conditions
  • ML159-429: Music History and Biography
  • ML3400-3500: Popular Music
  • PE1700-3100: Dialects, Slang

Accessing Library Resources

Web Resources

  • PC Library subscribes to over 85 research databases (online subscriptions), you can access them from the library's website
  • Our collections includes: eBooks, newspapers, magazines, research articles, and streaming videos
  • Use the OneSearch box on the library's Website to search the library's collection (see image below)
  • Most library databases include research tools like Google Dive integration, citations tools, and much more.
  • All of the library's online resources can be used off campus!

Books

  • Checking out books from the library is easy! 
  • Your student ID is your library card
  • Books check out for 1 month, DVDs for 1 week (1 renewal) 
  • You are limited to 20 checkouts a time
  • You can renew and place holds on items using your online library account
