What is the eBook Academic Collection from EBSCO?

EBSCO eBook Academic Collection       eBook Academic Collection (EBSCO)

The eBook Academic Collection is a database of over 50,000 academic electronic books. You can view the entire text of a book, page by page, in PDF - - that means that each page looks exactly the same in eBook Academic Collection as it does in print!  You can also jump to sections of a book using Table of Content hotlinks or search for a word(s) within the text of the eBook.

A few steps to help you get started.

  1. Google Chrome is the recommended browser.
  2. Conduct a search. Results will be ranked by book relevance based on your search words.
  3. Click on the title of the book to open the item.
  4. You'll notice that the "most relevant pages" within the eBook are displayed.  You can also load the entire book by clicking on eBook Full Text.  Alternatively, expand the Table of Content to jump to relevant sections.

Why Should I Use eBooks from EBSCO?

EBSCO eBooks contains digital copies of books that have been published by trusted academic publishers. It's as if we took our entire print collection and digitized it. Now you can get much of the same great information we have in the physical library right from the comfort of your home, work or local hangout. All you need is an Internet connection and to be a current Phoenix College student.

The library buys the things you can't get for free on the Internet.
