Wilder Medal/Children's Literature Legacy Award - Beginning with the 2018 Award, the name changed from the Wilder Medal to the Children’s Literature Legacy Award. Originally, the Award was given every three years. As of 2003, the award was given every two years. The award became annual as of 2016. 

(Theodor Seuss) Geisel Award - The Theodor Seuss Geisel Award is given annually to the author(s) and illustrator(s) of the most distinguished American book for beginning readers published in English in the United States during the preceding year.

Grand Canyon Reader Awards - The Grand Canyon Reader Award (formerly the Arizona Young Reader Award) is a reader award program for students in Arizona. Students vote annually on their favorite book in various categories.

Printz Award Winners - The Michael L. Printz Award annually honors the best book written for teens, based entirely on its literary merit, each year.

Stonewall Honor Books in Children's and Young Adult Literature Awards - The first and most enduring award for GLBT books is the Stonewall Book Awards, sponsored by the American Library Association's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Round Table.

Schneider Family Book Award - The Schneider Family Book Awards honor an author or illustrator for a book that embodies an artistic expression of the disability experience for child and adolescent audiences.

Coretta Scott King Awards - The Coretta Scott King Book Awards are given annually to outstanding African American authors and illustrators of books for children and young adults that demonstrate an appreciation of African American culture and universal human values.

Pura Belpre Awards - The award is named after Pura Belpré, the first Latina librarian at the New York Public Library. The Pura Belpré Award, established in 1996, is presented annually to a Latino/Latina writer and illustrator whose work best portrays, affirms, and celebrates the Latino cultural experience in an outstanding work of literature for children and youth.
