  • Pura Belpré Awards

    Named for Pura Belpré, the first Latina librarian at the New York Public Library. Recognizes Latino and Latina writers and illustrators whose work portrays and celebrates the Latino cultural experience for children and youth.

  • Mildred L. Batchelder Award

    Recognizes an outstanding children’s book originally published outside the United States in a language other than English, then translated into English for U.S. publication.
