Presidential candidates are included if they have reported receipts of more than $100,000 from sources outside the candidate's own funds. The candidate list displays each candidate's overall receipts, including contributions from the candidate, individuals and other political committees as well as transfers from the candidate's prior federal campaigns.

Provides archived research and data from the Campaign Finance Institute (CFI), a non-profit organization founded in 1999. Initially part of the National Institute on Money in Politics (NIMP), it merged with the Center for Responsive Politics in 2021 to form OpenSecrets. The site offers downloadable reports and publications under a Creative Commons license by OpenSecrets.org.
