Career Research

One aspect of understanding your field of interest is to become familiar with the various careers in that field.  In addition to the types of jobs, consider what those jobs entail, including:

  • what education is needed?
  • what additional training is required?
  • who you will be working with (colleagues? customers? patients?)?
  • what a typical day consists of?
  • how the career may change in the future?

Utilize the Ferguson's Career Guidance database to research careers in your field of interest and consider the variety and commonalities between them.  To access Ferguson's, just click on the link below and enter your MEID and password when prompted.  The video below provides a demonstration of how to navigate the database and search for information on careers in your field.
